The third season of Clearwater premiered on June 15, 2014 on the Degrassi Wiki. It is comprised of 32 episodes and 2 blocks. The first block had 15 episodes and the second had 17 that were posted every Sunday. It follows the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year and features 24 regular characters, but this number is decreased to 22 after the first block.
Main storylines dealt with this season were rape, gangs, long-term relationships, fighting for what you want, money, jealousy, facing your problems, unrequited love, miscarriage, parental abuse, power struggles, abusive relationships, coming out, stress, unprescribed pill use, unaccepting parents, injury, selling drugs, stripping, standing up for yourself, changing yourself, breakups, equality, life-threatening situations, insecurity, being kicked out, revenge, prostitution, online pornography, and justice.
Alicia's friends reach out to her after not hearing from her all summer and discover that she's changed immensely since the start of the summer. As they try to figure out what happened to make her this way, Alicia is forced to relive her rape and starts to look at it in a very new light. Meanwhile, we catch up with Dex who, after he gets bad news from home, tries to be the strong guy that everyone sees him as, but how long can he fake it for? And Ethan finds a new recruitment for his lacrosse team when a guy named Micah moves next door, but he'll have to compete with a girl named Candace for his attention.
Liam keeps blowing off Julia when she needs him most now that she's in her third trimester and Caylee decides to get to the bottom of the secret he's been keeping, but will Liam be able to clean up the mess she makes? Meanwhile, Trey starts his first day of college and his first day away from Tori since school let out, but when he sees who his new roommates are, will it drive a wedge between the two? Also, Danielle wants to keep busy following the craziness that happened to her in Hollywood and what better way then starting a band? Too bad it's going to be much more work than she anticipated.
Jamie is missing Jeremy while only being able to see him on TV and tries to bond more with her mother, but finds out secrets from her she didn't want or need to know. Meanwhile, cheerleading auditions are days away and Candace wants to show Wendy just who's in charge when people start to prefer Wendy over her. Is Candace just making herself more enemies? And Brittany has been lonely all summer and has recently come into contact with one of her old flames-who she still hasn't met. He finally wants to meet, but her friends keep telling her that the guy is trouble.
Caylee has to shed her nice girl exterior when too many students signed up for the nursing program she's been dreaming of for years. Will something so important for her future make her crush someone else's dreams? Back at Clearwater High, Keith meets a new guy who takes an interest in him. The catch is that he isn't ready to be out of the closet and wants to keep their budding romance a secret. Is Keith really going to keep his new beau a secret, or will he sacrifice the relationship just to brag that he's not single? Also, Moon sets her eyes on a new guy, but he's also her friend's brother. Is it against friend code to date your best friend's brother?
As if Julia didn't have enough going on, she comes home one night to her mother gone and a voicemail saying they lost their house and are bankrupt. All on her own, Julia now has to find a home, money, and her mother, all while 7 months pregnant. Impossible? Meanwhile, Wendy wants to break free from Candace's grip and make decisions of her own so she decides to go after a boy in her class, but is he as bad as everyone thinks? And Olivia and Troy are at odds right before their anniversary when she finds out he's homophobic. Is trying to change him just going to make the issue worse?
Sadie returns from school with inspiration and drive to start directing again and has gotten closer with Tim. As she starts to renew her friendship with Scott, she also flaunts her new romance with Tim in his face. Is Scott that bitter that he'd try to sabotage their relationship? Also, Jamie starts to feel the void from Jeremy, so Julia decides to take her out for a girl's night, but will Jamie let loose a little too much? Also, Sophie returns to Clearwater after a long vacation in the mountains to clear her head. With a clean mindset, she sets her eyes on someone from the past, but have they moved on?
Alicia finally starts to get back to her old self until she sees that Mr. Teller is back in school. She automatically goes into crisis mode and wants out of the school. Will the man who raped her chase her out of Clearwater forever? Also, freshmeat Zak is new to The Front Line and they want him to prove his loyalties, but will he have to hurt some of the people he loves in order to stay in the gang? And Keith has gotten himself into an awkward love triangle, except the other two members have no idea. How will he get himself out of this without either of his boyfriends hating him?
Scott is invited to Dex's birthday as his new best friend and when he ends up spending the night with him and 2 other guys, he tries to act more masculine to keep things less awkward. But will being around Dex so much make old feelings come back? Meanwhile, Julia is less than a month away from her due date and starts to get her life with Liam into order with a job and money to start making the nursury, but is she pushing herself too hard for being 8 months pregnant? And Angel is shocked and upset when Tamara returns saying her father got her pregnant. How will she deal having to face him again?
After the horrible accident, Julia finds her world falling apart. Will she revert back to her old ways or can her friends reel her back in? Meanwhile, Dex is all that Scott can think about and he starts to realize that these feelings for him are more than just a crush. How will Eliza feel about this, or can he prevent her from finding out? And Angel reacts to her father returning irrationally and suffers a mental breakdown. Who will save her from this one?
As student-teacher conferences come up, Olivia learns that she must have a parent come in and speak with her teacher over her failing grade, but knowing that she'll just get abused over it, will she finally come up with a way to get rid of her mother, or will she continue to succumb to the abuse yet again? Meanwhile, Jamie gets a surprise at her door when Jeremy comes to ask for forgiveness following his departure from Spotlight Stars. Will he succeed in winning her back or have to learn how to live without her? And Eric can't help but get upset when Abby keeps choosing drugs over him and stages an intervention for her. But does she think that she's fine?
The lacrosse team is just about to start and Ethan has found a way of becoming captain, but he has some competition when Micah challenges his authority and position. Micah is determined to get the spot of captain, but what is he willing to do to dethrone Ethan? Meanwhile, Eliza finds being at home miserable since her dad is constantly drunk and starts spending all of her time with Dex. But when her dad takes things too far, will she be able to convince him to stop drinking? And Danielle signs her band up for a battle of the bands competition, even though they are far from ready. How will her band react when she pushes them to their breaking point?
Dex starts to get embarrassed by the way Eliza treats him, but is too ashamed to ask for help when his friends start joking about it. Should he let them know the severity of the situation or just deal with it like he's been doing. Meanwhile, Caylee starts noticing how cute her nursing teacher is and is surprised when he starts giving her hints that he's interested in her. Miranda tells her that she should make a move, but is she really going to flirt with her teacher? And Eric wants the lead in the school musical and thinks he knows how to get it. But is he willing to have the lead if he has to deal with someone he hates for it?
Sophie is lost when Ethan is sent to juvey and wants her to promise to wait for him, realizing she may be more attracted to an entirely different gender. Will she go with what everyone tells her or take a chance on discovering herself? Meanwhile, Alicia feels threatened by her rapist once again and wants to finally tell the authorities, but will he once again make her change her mind by endangering her loved ones? And Candace wants to be the female lead in the play and has to fight Wendy for it, but will she lose her friends when she tries to take yet another thing out of Wendy's grasp?
Sadie starts to feel the stress of opening night for the play looming around the corner and starts taking anxiety pills to calm her nerves. But will the amount she's taking just make things worse for her in the end? Also, Danielle deals with the aftermath of Alicia's backstabbing and loses the trust of many of her friends. Can she convince Alicia to take back what she said in order to make everything better for her? Meanwhile, Candace is confused when she has feelings for two people at once and decides to shake things up by bringing them all together. Is there any way this three way will turn out good?

Her friends keep telling her to stop and are seriously fed up with her outbursts, but she can't seem to stop. How far will she go before she realizes she needs to stop? Meanwhile, Danielle deals with the backlash from her peers from getting Mr. Teller fired. She knows she did nothing wrong, but how long can she last with everyone thinking she did? Also, Candace tries to keep her affair with Sophie a secret, but when Micah finds out, how will he react when she brings up the idea of a threesome?
Thanksgiving weekend has come and Tori is looking forward to spending it with Trey and his family, but when he gets into a fight with them and decides to go to a party instead, he might wished he hadn't. Meanwhile, Julia returns to town and is days away from her stillbirth, thinking she can handle it now. But can she really? And Danielle has to spent a very awkward weekend with her mom's new boyfriend and his sassy daughter. Will she put up with their crap or make sparks fly?
Trey is unconscious from the accident, and Tori blames herself. Trey's parents blame her as well, so how can she look him in the face again? Meanwhile in the same hospital, Julia is in labor and starts to wonder just how much she wants her life to change. Also, Danielle is thrilled to see her dad again, but he doesn't seem as thrilled to see her.
Abby ensures Eric that the gang has let her off the hook, but in reality, things are worse than ever and the pressure to sell starts to get the better of her. Meanwhile, Angel realizes she's the odd man out in her group and finds new friends in all the wrong places, starting to revert back to her old ways. And Caylee's feelings towards Mr. Eichler intensify and she tries to be alone with him again.
Brittany is pushed into a corner when she is viciously blackmailed. To get the money, Jarrod has the perfect job, but how far is Brittany willing to go? Also, Moon starts to have feelings for the perfect guy. Too bad he's foreign and only in the US for a year. And Tori starts to doubt her relationship with Trey after the accident changes everything.
Wendy has had enough of Candace and her reign as queen bitch in her life and is ready to use ammo given to her by Adrianna to take her down for good. Meanwhile, Jamie starts to get closer to Tim and adopts his drinking habits, which scares her family and friends. And Liam finds two girls have his heart and neither one will reciprocate the feelings.
Alicia realizes she still hasn't moved on from her rape and wants to reinvent herself. With the help of Leah, she starts to go down a very dangerous path. Will she soon regret her decision? Dex gets bad news at home and is being pulled in two different directions trying to support him. Will he choose his girlfriend or his best friend? And Sophie goes to a bar to try and meet someone new, but instead meets Brittany who really needs a friend.
Jamie is shocked when Jeremy dedicates his first single on live TV to her and wonders if she should give him another chance or not. Will they start a new chapter or are they too different to go back? Meanwhile, Olivia is loving life at her dad's house and is finally happy, bit when she gets a notice from her mom who is suing for full custody, will her happy ending come crashing down? And Angel and Abby enter dangerous territory when they start using all the money from the drugs they're selling and spend it on themselves.
Candace is done with all the attention she is getting from the video shown at the pep assembly and wants to be known for something better. Can she break the stigma without getting a worse one? Meanwhile, Eliza becomes increasingly jealous of anybody who talks to Dex which might put them at odds yet again. And Keith starts talking to Scott again and reminisces their past, wondering if he wants to be with him.
Eric is happy things are back to normal and gets a job to help him pay for college. But how will he react when his world falls apart again due to his girlfriend's mistakes? For the seniors, it's SAT time. But where's Jamie? And Alicia tries to focus on schoolwork, but starts feeling sick and thinks something might be wrong. Can she handle what she thinks might be wrong with her?
Keith thinks he and Scott are for real this time, but when Scott isn't comfortable telling his parents about them, will it end the relationship before it even begins? Meanwhile, Wendy notices that Zak is acting weird around her and tries to figure out why. But what is Zak hiding that he wants to keep secret? And Candace is desperate to find out who is spreading the awful pictures of her around. Will her assumptions on the culprit turn out to be correct or just make more waves for her?
Once again, Scott has disappointed Keith, and everyone knows Keith doesn't do well when he doesn't get what he wants... Meanwhile, Zak has to do major damage control after his secret comes out. But has he already everyone he had because of it? And Moon wants to be with Klaus more than anything, but Jamie is hellbent on keeping them apart. How will Moon get past this obstacle?
Ethan returns from DH and doesn't hesitate to fight for his spot back as captain of the lacrosse team from Micah. Now that Micah has set the stakes, will he be ready for what Ethan has in store for him? Angel and Olivia want to teach Keith a lesson after getting Scott kicked out of his house, but Angel isn't prepared to fight as dirty as Olivia is planning on doing. And Jamie is being shipped off to rehab, but she's willing to do anything to do anything she can to avoid it. What can she do to change her parents' minds?
Trina has been excelling at college and made a lot of new friends, but Brianna knows this charade can't go on forever and calls in backups to get Trey back to himself once and for all. Meanwhile, Brittany is proud of her reputation at the club and that she's become one of the favorite strippers, but when Jarrod starts asking to do more than just strip, is she willing to forget her morals just to pay off her blackmailer? And Caylee has been down due to her best friend being sent away. Shawn wants to cheer her up and take her out for the first time, but things might get much more complicated when they both learn that they don't know the other as well as they thought.
Micah finds out about a scandalous email account being set up by some of the guys on the team and decides to exploit it even further to try and get Ethan kicked off the team as captain. But will this make even more problems for him? Meanwhile, Danielle decides to set up an art show when she hears her father is coming back to town to try and make him proud. But when other people start making the job harder for her, will it just be a lost cause? And Julia starts looking for a roommate when her cash flow starts getting low and rent is due. But another option starts to seem much simpler and easier. Too bad it might ruin her reputation for good if it ever got out.
Olivia has to go to a court hearing that determines where her life goes. If her father wins, she can continue to be happy, but if her mother wins, her life will reach a new level of hell. She thinks she knows how she can get her father to win, but is she just making the case easier for her mother to steal? Meanwhile, Liam is approached by Jarrod asking for help with his gang that he thinks is being infiltrated. Is he risking more than he should to help his old friend? And Scott is thrilled to be back on good terms with Dex, and when he's looking for a tutor to help him with his less than stellar grades, Scott is happy to take on the job. But does he have ulterior motives that might ruin things again?
Abby is worried when Zak asks for her help in taking down Jarrod's gang. Eric won't let her get involved again, but she is scared they will never be taken down if someone doesn't stand up. Will her eagerness to help be her downfall? And Ethan can't believe it when yet another scandal is pinned on him and is willing to do whatever he can to clear his name and prove Micah has been blackmailing him ever since he joined the team. And Wendy can't help the feelings that are lingering towards Zak and wonders if she should really give them a real chance despite their age gap.
Abby has gotten both herself and Eric in a tight spot yet again involving the gang and Zak's plan to take them down, and is sure she can get them out. But when things get out of control and people's lives are put on the line, will she realize that she made a fatal mistake? Meanwhile, Ethan and Micah's power struggle comes to a head at the Spring Fling where both sides plan sabotage against the other. And Wendy is ready to give Zak another shot, but unaware that he's busy taking down the gang, invites him to the Spring Fling with her. Will he ditch his responsibilities to win back the girl he loves?
